Take a leisurely cruise on our twilight lagoon explorer tour around the lagoon of St. Maarten, the largest inland waterway in the Caribbean. Your cruise visits the Dutch and French sides of the island. Our knowledgeable, local crew provides the cultural and historic highlights of our small island as we tour the lagoon. Enjoy a glass (or more!) of Champagne and some delicious appetizers as the sun sinks slowly into the horizon. As the last remnants of the day fade you will cruise back to Simpson Bay and pass the brightly lit private luxury yachts.
Our 2 hour Lagoon Explorer Explorer tour is the perfect way to relax after the day’s activity and work up an appetite. A great opportunity to get acquainted with many points of interest around the island.
On arrival at our dock in Cole Bay, our friendly crew will welcome you aboard our 38 foot power catamaran, Blu Bi U. After a short safety briefing, we get underway and cruise through Simpson Bay, past the Simpson Bay Yacht Club, Isle de Sol and Port de Pleisance Marina. We pass under the Causeway bridge and over to the French side and head into Marina Royale in Marigot, the capitol French St Martin.
After Marigot, you’ll cruise south, heading past the lowlands and the many private estates of our more affluent residents, sights you cannot see from the road. We put in a brief stop at Porto Cupercoy to point out some great local restaurants and shopping. As we cruise back north again, we pass by Maho, Cupercoy and Point Pirouette with their lovely residential waterside residences.
Your tour finishes in Simpson Bay, right by the lagoon side of airport just as the last few outbound flights for the day pass overhead. For most of the year, Simpson Bay is filled with small private sailboats and large, private luxury yachts. As we head to port, after the sun has gone down, you’ll get the chance to see them up close, brightly lit and sparkling in the twilight.
Be sure to bring your camera as you will experience an amazing array of shades of red, pink and orange as the setting sun submerges into the sea and illuminates the sky.
It’s a good idea to do this tour early in your vacation. You’ll discover out a lot of local information on localities, bars, restaurants and things to do. Need a dinner recommendation? Just let us know what you’re in the mood for and we’ll do our best to find someone serving it up. We’ll even call them up and make a reservation for you. If you have dinner plans in Simpson Bay, let us know which restaurant you’re heading too and we may be able to drop you right outside.
Private tours are available on request for Marriage Proposals, Anniversaries or company outings.
